Adam Herrington, 5th grade, sews a pillowcase with help from volunteer Loretta Moon. Herrington has never really used a sewing machine before. Moon said she's helped out with the event for several years. One year she couldn't come, and so cut up 350 fabric pieces for the kids to put together. The pillowcases were one of Aaron Eilerts' well-known projects. He used to buy the fabric himself and create the cases for children at the local hospital.
