Onlookers from around the neighborhood in Callender came equipped Ipads and cell phones to capture the destruction of the grain elevator, located on Rankin Avenue, Sunday morning. The elevator had been there for since the early 1900s.

The controlled burn resulted in at least one now homeless raccoon finding itself in a rather dire predicament. The critter jumped a few seconds later and scampered off down the road, apparently none the worse for wear.
